EPISODE 35 - MANAGING PIMPLY FACES



Acne or pimple is characterized by pustules which form from sebaceous glands of the skin. They are infected by anaerobic bacteria and worsened by diets rich in fats and internal toxicity (chronic constipation) and worry. The ultimate causative agent is unknown although it is related to hormonal and genetic factors.
What to do:
·         Take lots of water to cleanse the system and avoid constipation.
·         Take blood purifying herbal teas e.g. lemon therapy, pansy leaves and Burdock leaves.
·         Use of carrot, cabbage, onion and aloe vera as cooked, mashed poultices pasted on the skin for about 15 mins. They also soothe, smoothen and defend the skin when eaten raw or taken as a juice.
·         Evening primrose oil capsule and rose flower nourish and beautify the skin.
·         Wash the skin regularly with simple toilet soaps not hydroquinone-based soaps or steroid-based creams.
·         White pulp of pawpaw (from the leaves or unripe fruit) or a cream with mono component of Clindamycin can be used on the infected spots if they are much and stubborn.
·         Above all, do not worry about the pimples or other issues for that matter because worry will worsen the situation.
